Location
David is a Senior Managing Director and Leader of the Financial Accounting and Advisory Services (FAAS) Practice. David and his team assist with financial statement preparation, interpretation and implementation of accounting standards, technical memorandum preparation, financial process and function re-engineering, revenue recognition guidance, lease accounting, accounting for acquisitions, divestitures and carve-outs, internal control effectiveness and efficiency, IPO readiness support, interim financial management services, and audit readiness.
David has more than 25 years of experience in financial leadership roles in industry as well as public accounting, providing him with a unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities that financial professionals in industry face. His experience includes leading accounting teams through acquisitions, ensuring proper revenue recognition and lease accounting for complex transactions, transitions to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, Chapter 11 re-organizations including all aspects of fresh-start accounting, and building and re-aligning accounting organizations.
David joined CBIZ from Welch’s, where as Controller he was responsible for US GAAP reporting and compliance, tax matters, and internal control over financial reporting. Prior to that, David worked as Vice President and Controller at both Orchard Brands and Dunkin’ Brands. He began his career at a Big Four accounting firm where he spent over 10 years serving a range of public and private clients.
