Location
Michael is a Managing Director in the Financial Accounting and Advisory Services (FAAS) Practice and leads the New England SEC Advisory team. With more than 15 years of professional services experience, he is responsible for directing CBIZ’s service delivery model on client engagements and providing timely and valuable advice to executive leadership teams.
Michael primarily advises public companies on navigating accounting for non-routine transactions and complex U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) areas, such as business combinations, carve-out financial statements, debt and equity financings, revenue recognition, consolidation, and share-based payments. His experience also includes coaching private clients through the initial public offering (IPO) process, responding to SEC comment letters, drafting Article 11 pro forma financial statements, and filing other registration and proxy statements.
Prior to joining CBIZ, Michael was in the audit practice at a Big Four accounting firm where he spent more than 12 years working with a range of public and private companies. He has experience in various industries, with a focus in technology, life sciences, consumer products, and manufacturing.
