She has over 25 years of experience applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS), Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards, and SEC requirements. As a seasoned consultant, Kirsten is highly skilled in forensic accounting and litigation support services, particularly in connection with trustee proceedings and securities violations involving some of the largest public and private companies in the world and their accounting firms. She has also been engaged in matters involving shareholder derivative claims, the False Claims Act, and other complex litigation.

She has extensive experience investigating fraud allegations, assessing internal controls, performing financial analyses, and identifying marital assets. Her expertise also includes drafting and responding to complaint allegations, consulting with counsel on complex accounting, auditing, and financial statement matters, reviewing and analyzing documents, assessing the financial statement impact of accounting errors, assisting counsel in preparation for depositions and trials, authoring expert reports, and providing expert testimony in depositions and trials. In addition, Kirsten frequently instructs on various accounting and auditing topics.
Prior to joining CBIZ through its acquisition of Marcum in November 2024, Kirsten joined Marcum in 2022 with the merger of Friedman LLP.
