CBIZ Sets the Stage for a Successful 2024 ‘Band Together to End Hunger’ Food Drive

The CBIZ team is thrilled to announce our 16th annual national food drive, dedicated to supporting our local communities in need. To date we have gathered a combined 13.83 million pounds of food and are determined to amplify this impact. In 2023, through both in-office and virtual efforts, we collected an impressive 1.18 million pounds of food. This year, our goal is to collect over 1 million pounds through the “Band Together to End Hunger” food drive initiative!

The 2024 drive officially launches Monday, October 28, and continues through Friday, November 8. This year features a combination of virtual and in-person events. With participation from 80 CBIZ offices, this year’s initiative supports 65 nonprofit organizations. We invite contributions of non-perishable food items and monetary donations via cash, check, or payroll deductions. Our online platform also facilitates seamless virtual donations, ensuring everyone can contribute regardless of work location.

Contests

We are excited to announce the fifth annual “Best Virtual Promotion” contest! Team members are invited to submit their most engaging photos, TikTok videos, screenshots, or other shareable visuals that promote the food drive. The top three submissions will earn breakfast or lunch and a cash donation to their local food bank.

The “Best Display” contest allows offices to highlight their most compelling visual displays. This contest encourages team members to unleash their creativity while supporting local food banks. The top three displays will receive breakfast or lunch for their food drive committees and cash prizes to enhance their collected donations.

With the “Best In-Office Event,” team members are encouraged to come together and demonstrate camaraderie by hosting the most impressive in-office event during the food drive. The winning team will be rewarded with breakfast or lunch for their food drive committee.

In addition to our three contests, we will award first- and second-place prizes to the top collecting offices. The competition is categorized by large, medium, and small office size. Prizes for the leading earners range from $500 to $5,000 for local food banks and incentives such as a half-day off work and breakfast or lunch for the entire office. To foster friendly competition, we encourage offices to challenge one another, driving even greater donations.

We look forward to seeing the creative wagers that will drive our collections for this initiative!

Finally, we will honor the most improved office of 2023 across three categories: small, medium, and large. The winners will receive breakfast or lunch for their office and recognition on our intranet.

Food insecurity in our local communities drives CBIZ’s commitment to helping to ease the burden. We are proud to support our communities through this year’s food drive, which is made possible by our CBIZ Cares program, which highlights philanthropy as a fundamental aspect of our company culture. We engage in various charitable activities, including charity walks and career development initiatives for women in need.
