Tamara “Tammy” Thomas is a Director in the Forensic Consulting Group at CBIZ. With more than 25 years of combined experience in both public and private practice, she has spent several years in public accounting and has served in the private real estate investment industry. Tammy has been involved in numerous engagements addressing breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, accounting malpractice, franchise agreements, shareholder agreements, purchase price adjustments, fraud, and intellectual property damages. She has been retained as an expert witness by both plaintiffs and defendants in breach of contract disputes, and has provided testimony in depositions, at trial, and in arbitration proceedings.
Before focusing on dispute resolution services, Tammy worked in public and corporate accounting. She served as an auditor at a Big Five firm, where she audited public and private companies, assisted with various SEC filings, conducted due diligence, and worked on multiple consulting projects. Her audit experience spans clients in the international and domestic utility sectors, as well as the telecommunications, manufacturing, and service industries. Additionally, Tammy worked for a global real estate investment firm, overseeing the financial progress of investments for several real estate funds, performing internal reviews and property audits, and conducting due diligence for potential investment opportunities.
