Import Change Requests

With this new release, you can now download a template and import change requests directly from the Change Request list or the Company Setup checklist.

Previously, change requests could only be entered manually, one at a time. This new feature saves time and reduces data entry errors.

Improved Change Request Grid with Entry Reordering and Line Numbers

Change requests often require adding new tasks and materials. The updated grid lets you organize entries by task or workflow, improving clarity and communication on printed documents for approvers. Previously, additions were automatically appended to the end of the list.

Key features of the improved change request grid include:

  • Drag-and-drop reordering: Use the new drag handle (hamburger icon) to move entries to the desired position in the grid.
  • Consistent print order: Printed documents now reflect the order shown in the grid, thanks to the addition of line numbers.

Add Standard Tasks to a Project Quickly

You can now add multiple standard tasks to a project at once using the new Add to Project bulk action on the Standard Task Catalog page. This feature streamlines the process, saving time and reducing repetitive data entry.

How it works:

  1. Go to the Projects Standard Task Catalog.
  1. Select the tasks you want to add to a project.
  1. Choose Add to Project, then select the project name from the dropdown list.
  2. Click Save to apply the tasks to the project.

Purchase Order Document Template Now Includes Primary Document Summary and Details

Purchase Order templates can now include additional information to improve visibility and traceability:

  • Primary Document Summary: Provides a concise overview of the associated primary document.
  • Detailed Breakdown: Includes key information such as document type, reference number, and important dates.

Subtotal behavior is now aligned between source documents and change order documents, ensuring consistency across all records.

Change Order Configuration

When creating a change document, a new Change Document Options section allows you to sync subtotals with the associated source document. This ensures consistency and accuracy across all related documents.

Change Management

Change Order Information on Subcontracts

Tax Handling for Change Orders

When a source line is modified, the tax schedule and tax details are automatically copied and locked on the corresponding change order line.

New lines added through a change order can have different tax settings, which are carried over to the source document without affecting the original subtotals.

Specify a Primary Project Estimate Forecast for Quick Access

You can now designate a specific estimate as the Primary Project Estimate Forecast, making it easier to access and reference. Forecast reports present project data in different formats and time periods, providing insights into potential outcomes. By relying on historical data, these forecasts help ensure projects stay on time and within budget. The new Primary Forecast checkbox is available on project estimates, allowing you to set one estimate per project as the primary forecast. To apply it, simply select the Primary Forecast checkbox in the Estimate Information section of the Project Estimate page.

Prefill Project on Change Request Entry

With Release 3, creating change request line-item entries is now faster and more efficient. The Project field in the Entries section automatically populates with the project defined in the header of any change requests created after this release. If needed, you can override this value and select any of the subprojects associated with the header project.

New Import Service for Work in Progress (WIP) Management

Importing data to WIP schedules is now faster, more accurate, and easier with the new import service. Instead of sending your data into a “black box” and waiting for error reports via email, you have a dedicated import workspace that provides real-time visibility and control. The intuitive, spreadsheet-like interface allows you to import files, view errors at the field level, and make corrections on the spot, eliminating frustration and saving valuable time.

Automatically Populate Missing Dimensions on Project Contract Line Entries

To improve consistency between project contract information and its line entries, blank or mismatched dimensions are now automatically populated when using the Recalc Totals tool in Edit mode. This helps maintain accurate and complete project records with minimal manual effort.

Enhancements in Sage Intacct Paperless

In this release, you can find these enhancements:

  • Expanded invoice entry sidebar in Invoice Manager: Find invoices based on any header field, and mark invoices as Do Not Pay to prevent them from being exported into accounting.
  • Tasks with indexes: When setting up Attach Document tasks in DocRoute and APFlow, you can now configure specific indexes that must be found on the attached document to complete the assigned task.
  • Project Manager field: For line types with job costing, a new Project Manager field automatically shows data based on job coding and can be used to set up routing rules in APFlow based on the project manager.
