The CBIZ Construction Summit is a complimentary event dedicated to updating construction contractors, finance, and accounting professionals on the economic state of the construction industry. Following successful Summits in other regions, we’re excited to bring this dynamic event to the Mid-Atlantic for the first time.

Alongside a full roster of accomplished speakers, CBIZ’s chief economist Anirban Basu will deliver the keynote address at the Mid-Atlantic CBIZ Construction Summit, providing his perspective on the recent policy and trade factors shaping the regional construction industry’s future. Now more than ever, contractors and construction firms rely on broad analysis like Anirban’s to define their business strategy in the context of rapidly evolving global trends.

Succession Planning in Construction: M&A, ESOPs and Ownership Transition Strategies

Succession planning is one of the most critical considerations for construction company owners looking to secure their legacy and ensure long-term business continuity. This panel discussion will explore a range of ownership transition strategies, with a focus on M&A transactions and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) as two primary pathways. Industry experts will share perspectives on market trends, valuation considerations, deal structures, and other key factors that influence whether to sell externally, transition internally, or pursue a hybrid approach. The session will provide practical insights to help owners evaluate their options, plan ahead, and position their companies for future success.
