Management Systems Certifications
Illustrate your conformity to standards and regulations through a conformity assessment performed by an Independent Conformity Assessment Body accredited by A2LA under ISO/IEC 17020:2012 to customers and interested parties.
Obtain certification through an examination of a product, process, service, and determination of its conformity with specific requirements or, on the basis of professional judgment, with general requirements.

Scope Assessment
As part of the initial engagement, we will perform a comprehensive assessment of the services and systems under review. By obtaining a clear and thorough understanding of your environment, we will then prepare a customized audit plan and access to our online collaboration tool which streamlines the audit process through certification.

Audit Process
CBIZ Security & Compliance has developed a methodology for conducting ISO/IEC 17020:2012 certification which includes the steps of the certification cycle from design stage, type examination, initial inspection, in-service inspection, or surveillance.
We communicate audit expectations, timing, and deliverables to our clients through audit planning, kick-off/closing meetings, and where you are kept informed of the status through our client portal metrics and regular check-ins. CBIZ Security & Compliance standard methodology provides consistency in the certification process to drive success.

Certificate Decisions
As your independent Conformity Assessment Body, we have defined criteria for all certification decisions, which include granting, refusing, maintaining, renewing, suspending, restoring and withdrawing the certificate.
CBIZ Security & Compliance communicates timely with our clients regarding all certification decisions. All decisions related to certification are approved by CBIZ Security & Compliance senior leadership, and are required to adhere to our document certification processes.

CBIZ Security & Compliance Name and Logo
CBIZ Security & Compliance’s ISO 17020 certification logo is only to be used to illustrate conformance with the standards. The use of our name and logos in regards to ISO 17020 certifications are governed by the terms and conditions set forth within engagement agreements. CBIZ Security & Compliance monitors the use of its name and logo to ensure compliance with our contractual agreement and ISO 17020:2012.

Appeals
The CBIZ Security & Compliance audit team strives to clearly communicate the justification for its decisions related to certification activities. When a situation arises wherein the client does not agree with the audit team, the client may appeal the decision to CBIZ Security & Compliance leadership. A point of contact, who is separate from the audit team, will be assigned to research the appeal and CBIZ Security & Compliance leadership will review the results and communicate the appeal decision. Appeals may be generated directly with the client’s audit team or by submitting here.
Complaints
Complaints filed against CBIZ Security & Compliance or our certified clients are received, handled, and resolved in accordance with ISO 17020:2012. The process is managed by a team independent of our audit team to document and track complaints. Complaints will be investigated and resolved in accordance with our documented policies. The initiator will be kept informed throughout the process and at the time of resolution. Complaints may be generated directly with the client’s audit team or by submitting here.
Impartiality
Part of our certification obligation is to maintain impartiality at all times. Our personnel and our organization are independent of our clients. Our certification decisions are based on objective criteria and are not influenced by bias or prejudice. CBIZ has an Independence Committee whose role is to evaluate new and current client relationships to ensure that the impartiality of our certification services are safeguarded.
