Pennsylvania Long-Term Care Legislation Updates

In August, four Pennsylvania legislators proposed a LTC plan that mimicked the Washington State Plan – with an effective date of January 1st, 2023. It allowed an exemption for those who owned private LTC coverage as of the effective date, but no “opt-out” period. The likeliness that the bill passes is slim, but a reminder that these bills can happen quickly and make sure you have private long-term care coverage in place ahead of time.
