A small healthcare organization sought to replace its outdated timekeeping and payroll tracking systems. To request time off, employees submitted a paper form. Then reports were run manually, and staff schedules had to be generated by hand using Excel. Two systems meant updating information in each one separately which doubled the work required. The company needed an automated and more efficient process to accommodate the growth it was experiencing.

Solution

CBIZ’s human resources consulting team performed an assessment and recommended Centrally HR, an all-in-one software product that would meet the organization’s needs. To help make the purchase more affordable, CBIZ implemented the transition from the old to new system and identified pricing discounts. Current payroll records from the previous provider, as well as rules surrounding timekeeping administration, needed to be merged in the new process. As part of the assignment, employees were trained on how to use the new system, making the transition a smooth one.

  • Instead of two employee records — payroll and timekeeping — the organization now uses a single system
  • Employees can initiate time-off requests through mobile application on smartphone device
  • Staff can easily update mailing address or direct deposit information
  • Conversion has resulted in time savings and increased productivity
