While deal activity dropped quarter-over-quarter from Q4 2020 to Q1 2021, both deal count and value in Q1 2021 represent Q1 10+ year highs. The pandemic and some economic and political uncertainty is expected to result in continued volatility in the deal market, but overall, the momentum into FY2021 is strong.
