CBIZ MHM Tampa Bay hosted several LinkedIn and Twitter training sessions last week for internal employees to gain a better understanding of what the different platforms offer and how to leverage them.

“Our goal of the trainings was to show employees how social media can be a valuable relationship tool” said Megan Murdock, CBIZ MHM Tampa Bay Marketing Manager.

Our employees left the training sessions with more confidence in how to use different social channels and how to be effective with content they are sharing.

CBIZ MHM Minneapolis is in full swing with the ‘Play to Win’ Marketing Game. To state that it has been going well would be quite an understatement. The Marketing Game has been a complete success from administrators all the way to managing directors. You’d be hard pressed to find an hour that passed without the Marketing Game or one of its activities being mentioned or performed.

One of the successful areas that have been easily adopted by the group has been social media. Previous to the Marketing Game, social media seemed to be a tedious and somewhat uncomfortable task. Now, with a few weeks under the belt, the group has engaged with social media in many ways:

This type of success can be easily achieved in your organization as well. You don’t necessarily need to create a marketing game of your own; you just need to be aware of some of the steps you can take to start building social advocacy.

For a guide on steps to take, you can read a previous post, ‘A Powerful Way to Engage Employees in Social Advocacy.’

Remember, all it takes is one step forward to start changing a culture.
