We are proud to announce (#humblebrag) the results of our 2017 Food Drive!

Here in the #TeamPhoenix office, we take our annual food drive VERY seriously.

What can we say? We're competitive and we love our community!

Many thanks to our team, their families, and friends (and some clients too!) for supporting St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance's mission to feed Arizona's hungry!

Each year, CBIZ hosts an annual food drive competition between all of our 100+ offices, and for the past 3 years (3!) the Phoenix office has come out on top. Now, we don't like to brag (well, not too much), but we outdid ourselves during the 2016 food drive, raising just under $20,000 for St. Mary's Food Bank! And as the winners of the company-wide competition, our corporate office donated an additional $5,000 to St. Mary's, pushing our total to nearly $25,000. As you can imagine, we were thrilled with this outcome!

While we here in the Phoenix office were perfectly content with our hard won bragging rights, we were excited to learn that St. Mary's Food Bank was honoring CBIZ & MHM as a 2017 Hunger Hero. Deborah Kimes, Business Development Manager, and Ashley Gojic, Marketing Manager, attended the awards luncheon to accept the award on our behalf, and to hear about the incredible impact of the work St. Mary's does in our community.

"It was so inspiring to learn about the vast impact St. Mary's has on reducing hunger in Arizona. It's hard to imagine the outcomes for those in need without the assistance St. Mary's provides," said Ashley Gojic. "We are beyond proud to support St. Mary's, and look forward to strengthening our relationship with them through volunteering and continued fundraising efforts."

Many thanks to our Phoenix team members and their families for their continued efforts to help the hungry in our community!

CBIZ Food Drive 2016
CBIZ MHM Minneapolis was proud to kick off the 2016 Food Drive at Second Harvest Heartland. The goal is to eradicate hunger in our local communities through collection of nonperishable food items, monetary donations, and volunteer time. Second Harvest Heartland is one of the nation’s largest, most efficient and most innovative food banks. We helped pack 8,192 pounds of potatoes and cereal that will be distributed to local families in need to help close the missing meal gap.

In the season of giving, our office has once again joined forces to support the CBIZ National Food Drive.  The theme for this year’s food drive was HUNGER WARS: EPISODE 2015.  The food drive ran nationally from November 2-13. CBIZ MHM Memphis donated all collections this year to Mid-South Food Bank.

The company-wide goal was to collect 700,000 pounds of food, and the challenge for each office was to increase their total by at least 10% over last year.  The Memphis office exceeded that goal with a grand total of 35,000 pounds collected, which will be donated to the Mid-South Food Bank.

The food drive kicked off with a company-wide gumbo potluck for a minimum donation.  In addition, our office came together for a bake sale, galaxy photo-booth, and display that was out of this world – complete with a replica ‘R2FeedU’ made out of various canned foods and large light saber fork!

Thank you to all who participated in this year’s efforts to ensure that children and adults in our community aren’t hungry this holiday season.

May the forks be with you.
