The Memphis Business Journal is now accepting nominations for the 7th annual CFO of the Year Awards. CBIZ MHM is proud to have been a sponsor of these awards since their inception.

Nominees must be a Chief Financial Officer or hold an equivalent position at a local company or organization that has headquarters in the Memphis or Mid-South Area.

  

Award categories include the following: 

Private Company
Public Company
Nonprofit Organization
Lifetime Achievement Award


The candidates will be judged based on their performance during the fiscal or calendar year between January 2014 and June 2015. The criteria will also include Financial Management, Company Leadership, Strategic Thinking, and Contributions outside the Company.

Nominations are now open until August 22, and the awards breakfast program is October 21 at the Holiday Inn at the University of Memphis.

CBIZ MHM Tampa Bay is proud to be a presenting sponsor of the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s CFO of the Year event. The 2016 CFO finalists were invited to a VIP reception at the offices of Shumaker this month to recognize their accomplishment for being selected as an outstanding financial professional in the Tampa Bay area.

The awards luncheon revealed the results of this year’s CFO of the Year winners.  More than 400 people gathered to recognize these financial professionals for their exceptional performance in their roles as corporate financial stewards.

Winners in each category were chosen from an independent panel of judges.  The winners in their respective categories are as follows:

Rob Taylor, CFO of Accuform Manufacturing Inc., was the 2016 overall CFO of the Year winner for his service within the financial sector.

On October 23rd, the fifth annual CFO of the Year Awards were held at the Holiday Inn University of Memphis.  The CFO of the Year Awards recognize outstanding financial professionals in Memphis and the Mid-South for exceptional performance in their roles as corporate financial stewards.

The event kicked off with a packed breakfast to honor all the finalists for the various awards.  All those nominated for these awards must be in the position of Chief Financial Officer or the equivalent to this position within their companies  or organizations.  Winners in each category were chosen from an independent panel of judges: Kevin Campbell, partner with B2B CFO; Milton Lovell, CFO of nexAir LLC; and Dan Wortham, retired CFO of Christian Brothers University.  The winners in their respective categories are as follows:

Nominations are now open for the 2014 CFO of the Year awards hosted by the Memphis Business Journal. CFOs will be split into 5 separate categories this year, including the Lifetime Achievement category. Other groups include the following:

  • Private Company Less than $100 Million Annual Revenue
  • Private Company More then $100 Million Annual Revenue
  • Nonprofit Company Less than $30 Million Annual Revenue
  • Nonprofit Company More than $30 Million Annual Revenue

The CFO of the Year awards honor influential financial professionals in Memphis and the Mid-South for outstanding performance in their roles as corpoate financial stewards. The deadline to nominate a CFO is July 25, 2014. You can nominate your CFO through the Memphis Business Journal website.

This year's awards breakfast will take place Thursday, October 23rd at the Holiday Inn University of Memphis. Registration will be begin at 7:30 a.m., and the program will begin at 8:00 a.m.
