CBIZ MHM Tampa Bay Holds Executive Roundtable Series: Implementing the New Overtime Regulations

CBIZ MHM Tampa Bay partnered with Hill Ward Henderson to host a roundtable focused on implementing the new overtime regulations recently released by the Department of Labor that require that most employees making under $47,476 must be made overtime-eligible (or their salary increased) by December 1, 2016.

Attracting more that 60 attendees, this seminar provided practical information about the revisions to the Fair Labor Standards Act, the ramifications to employers, potential unintended consequences and alarming long-term implications, implementation strategies, and analysis ideas.

The panel of speakers included the following:

Ed Rataj
Ed Rataj is the Managing Director of Compensation Consulting at CBIZ Human Capital Services. Since 2003 when he joined the firm, he has amassed extensive compensation experience, focusing on designing innovative executive, broad-based and sales compensation programs. His core business is compensation consulting across various industries, and he also serves as a reasonable compensation expert witness. Ed recently became the second person ever to earn the Master Certified Compensation Professional (MCCP) designation, which represents the pinnacle of the compensation and total rewards profession.

Jeffrey Wilcox
Jeff is an associate in the Hill Ward Henderson’s Litigation Group. His practice primarily focuses on employment law, including wage-hour compliance, FMLA and ADA compliance, allegations of discrimination and harassment, non-compete litigation, and handbook and policy drafting. Jeff is active in both professional and Bar-related activities. He currently serves as a Director on the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division Board, and is a member of the Employment and Labor Law Committee in the Defense Research Institute. In 2014, Jeff received the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award.
