Qualified Transportation Subsidy

Qualified Transportation Subsidy

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (“ARRA”) includes a temporary expansion of the mass transit and van pooling monthly limits for qualified transportation.

The monthly limits for qualified transportation prior to the ARRA’s enactment, for 2009, were $120 for combined van pooling and transit passes, $230 for parking, and $20 for bicycle commuter benefits. The van pooling/transit pass limit is increased to match the qualified parking limit to $230 for 2009. The qualified parking and bicycle benefit remain unchanged.
