CBIZ Corporate Recovery Services is expanding its West Coast resources by adding two members to its team.
Headquartered in New York City, the CRS practice has long served clientele from coast to coast. CRS assists debtors, creditors and other parties-in-interest involved in bankruptcy proceedings and also offers a full spectrum of litigation support services, from assisting with discovery to the analysis of information and rendering of expert testimony.
As businesses shift their focus from bankruptcy management to bankruptcy prevention, more companies are seeking turnaround and restructuring services.
“We have seen an increase in demand for our services out west in recent years,” says Esther DuVal, the National Practice Leader for CBIZ CRS. “Having a physical presence in Southern California,” DuVal continues, “and resources in the Pacific Time Zone will make our team even more accessible to West Coast clients and allow us to build from our existing relationships we have on both coasts, as well as destinations between.”
Effective January 1, 2016, Coral Hansen assumed the role of Managing Director for CRS. Ms. Hansen brings more than 25 years of financial experience, serving in senior and executive level positions in both the public and private sectors. During her time in the private sector, she held various key executive positions including Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller for a range of publicly traded companies, with both domestic and international operations and annual revenues of up to $400 million dollars. Her extensive experience in litigation support includes providing expert testimony in both Superior and Federal courts and serving as Chair for the CalCPA State Fraud Section. Ms. Hansen is accredited in business valuation (ABV), certified in financial forensics (CFF) and is a certified fraud examiner (CFE). She is also an instructor for the AICPA Uniform CPA Examination.
Patty Chan joined the West Coast operations as well. Ms. Chan, a Manager with CBIZ MHM, brings more than eight years of forensic accounting and litigation support experience. She holds an ABV, a CFF and is a CFE. She serves as a trainer and mentor to CBIZ MHM senior accounting associates across multiple disciplines.
