For the last decade, CBIZ employees have collected and donated over 6.7 million pounds of food to stock our local communities’ food pantries and help those in need during the busy holiday season. Last year, the team collected over a million pounds of food, the third year in a row we’ve reached this notable milestone.
The annual CBIZ Food Drive kicks off on Monday, Oct. 29 and will run through Nov. 9. This year’s theme is “Game Day 2018: Knocking Hunger Out of the Park.” We’re excited for our employees to come together across the country to fight hunger in our communities.
Now in its 10th year, we have been hosting our annual CBIZ Food Drive to give back to the communities we serve. We’ve been successful in this endeavor because our employees embrace the opportunity to help those in need. We have challenged employees from our 100+ offices across the country to collect nonperishable goods or make monetary donations (every dollar donated equals five pounds of food). We will be naming winners in several categories based on the size of the office: small (1-15 employees), medium (16-54 employees) and large (55+ employees). The top two collecting sites in each category will receive a corporate cash donation to their community food bank. First place winners will also receive a half-day off, and 2nd place winners will receive breakfast or lunch for the staff. Winners will also be recognized in the Most Improved category, which measures the percentage increase in donations over last year.
In addition to their collection efforts, we challenge our teams to show their creative sides with our Most Creative Display category. Honors are also given to the top three offices with unique display. The displays are always creative! Click here to see some of the top displays from last year’s Food Drive.
With offices across the country, we recognize our ability to make a real difference in the communities we serve. We are proud to start our annual Food Drive and continue our mission of helping our neighbors and eradicating hunger within our communities. Want to follow along with this year’s efforts?
