Our September Small Business Employment Index (SBEI) has been released and the findings show a 2.55 percent decrease during September, following an increase of 1.15 percent in small business hiring in August. Additionally, this reduction registers higher than previous September shifts we’ve tracked.

Our July Small Business Employment Index (SBEI) has recently been released and the findings show a slight drop in employment for small businesses. The July SBEI decreased by 1.57 percent, following an increase of 1.38 percent in small business hiring in June.

Our June Small Business Employment Index (SBEI) was just released and the findings show solid growth in employment for small businesses. The June SBEI increased by 1.38 percent, following an increase of 1.34 percent in small business hiring in May. The positive number represents three consecutive months of positive employment growth in the small business sector.
