T.R. Yoder is a Senior Manager who joined CBIZ MHM, LLC’s National State and Local Tax Practice based in Greenville, South Carolina in April, 2015. Mr. Yoder assists with the unclaimed property practice including unclaimed property reviews, voluntary disclosures, and annual compliance reporting. He also assists clients with state income and franchise tax, and sales and use tax issues.
Prior to joining CBIZ, Mr. Yoder served as an Insurance Tax Manager with Athene Annuity & Life Assurance Company. He joined Athene in 2006 and was responsible for the quarterly tax provisions (GAAP and statutory) and the accurate recording of current and deferred income taxes in the financial statements. Mr. Yoder was also responsible for the effective tax rate calculations, tax forecasts, and quarterly tax account reconciliations. Additionally, he managed the filing of the federal and multistate consolidated corporate income tax returns and quarterly estimated payments to minimize overpayments while avoiding penalties.
Mr. Yoder began his career with Ernst & Young in Greenville, South Carolina in 1999. He functioned as a tax compliance professional working with clients in the manufacturing, retail, and real estate industries. His responsibilities ranged from managing the federal, state, and local income tax compliance work for various clients to developing and teaching internal tax technical classes on consolidated corporations.
