Under our CBIZ Cares program, employees nationwide are encouraged to give back to their local communities. They may do so by participating in volunteering events organized by their local office and/or by participating in one of our national efforts: our annual National Food Drive and our campaign to benefit Dress for Success.
The cornerstone of our community involvement is our annual National Food Drive, which benefits local food banks during the holiday months. The food drive has been an incredible success with offices donating the equivalent of more than 5 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD since we began this companywide effort in 2009. Offices participate by donating food and money and accepting contributions from clients, vendors, friends and family.
We also hold a national campaign each summer to benefit Dress for Success (DFS). DFS is a non-profit organization that provides professional attire for job interviewing to thousands of disadvantaged women each year. Career/life counseling, technology training and mentoring support are also provided by DFS. CBIZ has collected more than 50,000 items of clothing or accessories for and has donated $450,000 to DFS. Additionally, each of our local offices takes pride in working with their individual community in ways unique to them. From the Walk to Cure Diabetes benefitting Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Memphis, TN to the Fight for Air Climb benefitting American Lung Association in Los Angeles, CA to the Rainbow Radiothon benefitting Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, OH to the Backpack Drive benefitting Sacred Heart Community Services in San Jose, CA to The Color Run benefitting Blue Ridge Autism & Achievement Center in Roanoke, VA to the CPA Day of Service benefiting PAWS in Chicago, IL, we support local organizations in the communities we serve.
