Damien Gallow is a Cost Segregation Senior Manager for CBIZ MHM, LLC and is based in Los Angeles. He specializes in cost segregation studies, which permit clients to expedite the recovery of capital investments and reduce their tax burden. Studies are performed for new construction, renovation projects, leasehold improvements, and acquired tangible assets. He has led and executed cost segregation studies across the U.S. on thousands of properties, including: hotels, restaurants, retail, distribution facilities, manufacturing, commercial office, multi-family apartment complexes, automobile dealerships, and mixed-use developments.
Damien has more than 15 years of industry-related experience. He has extensive expertise with luxury hotels, luxury apartment buildings, commercial buildings, and office buildings. He has managed and performed cost estimates on construction projects ranging from $100,000 to well over $100 million.
Prior to joining CBIZ, he led and developed the cost segregation practice both domestically and internationally at a large national tax specialty services cost segregation firm while keeping up with new regulations and the impact they might have on clients. He worked as a construction cost estimator, and was involved in commercial tenant improvement projects with a portfolio of over 18.4 million square feet of commercial office space for a large Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). He was also a lead estimator on complete construction projects for some of the largest general construction and real estate development firms in the country.
