Steve Dunavant has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, and an additional two years in private accounting, with a focus in tax planning and consulting. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions, pass-through taxation (partnerships), and business formations. Whether his client's company is expanding into a different state or country, starting a new business or venture, or navigating complex financial arrangements, Steve reduces barriers for transactional execution by providing strategic tax planning and business solutions. Steve has a focus in the middle-market and works with diverse types of owners including private equity firms and family groups in various industries. He regularly speaks on the utilization of tax incentives, tax planning and strategy, and the Affordable Care Act.
Steve is a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA), was awarded the AICPA Certificate of Educational Achievement for Tax Planning and Advising Closely-Held Businesses, and maintains membership in AICPA and TSCPA. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Christian Brothers University (CBU). Additionally, Steve serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at CBU, Chair of the Board for the American Music Society, and is one of the Executive Producers of the Sun Tribute Project benefitting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
