Marla Floyd brings a wealth of experience to the clients she serves in the Delray Beach Office. Prior to joining the insurance world, Marla worked as an art teacher. She sees the insurance business similar to teaching in that it is her responsibility to inform and educate the client on a new subject. Her foray into insurance started at Liberty Mutual; she credits strong mentors for guiding her along her path. With a proactive “can-do” attitude, she ran her own insurance agency for nine years before selling to Weeks & Callaway, which later merged with CBIZ in 2014. Over the years, she has developed expertise in various industries including country clubs, printers, manufacturing, non-profit and marine. She has bolstered her education by taking pre MBA classes at Florida Atlantic University focusing on accounting, economics and marketing.
Outside of CBIZ, Marla is an avid painter and has participated in numerous classes at the Boca Museum of Art in the areas of oil, pastel and watercolor. In addition, Marla has found success with self-publishing: she wrote and illustrated a children’s book, The Pink Poodle and an artistic hand drawn map of Sanibel/Captiva Island.
