Overview
Janet is a Managing Director in the Accounting and Auditing* Group at CBIZ & MHM New England (formerly CBIZ Tofias) and is a member of the Not-For-Profit & Education Practice. Prior to joining CBIZ & MHM in 2008, she was a Senior Audit Manager in the Boston office of Grant Thornton LLP in the Higher Education and Not-For-Profit Practice. Janet has extensive experience providing audit and consulting services exclusively to the not-for-profit industry, including the health and human services, education, and cultural sectors. She manages financial statement audits and offers recommendations on internal controls, operations and accounting issues.
Additionally, Janet has developed expertise in the area of regulatory and reimbursement issues for various types of agencies, including nursing homes, home health organizations, Chapter 766 schools, adult day health centers, social service organizations, and other human service providers. She also has extensive A-133 experience, and is a leader in the Firm’s A-133 specialty group. Janet is recognized in the social and human services industry as an expert on regulatory reporting issues and requirements and has been a featured speaker at various workshops and seminars.
