As National Director of CBIZ Wellness Solutions, Emily is responsible for leading the Wellness Solutions staff and the wellness platform at CBIZ. She works with CBIZ offices and client-employers throughout the United States. Her role includes consulting with organizations to incorporate health, wellness and wellbeing activities as part of their overall employee benefits plans.
Emily joined the CBIZ Wellness Solutions practice in April 2013 as a Senior Wellness Account Executive. She worked in close partnership with CBIZ account teams to develop effective Wellness & Risk Management Strategies, to improve the wellbeing of a workforce and mitigate costs associated with poor health. These strategies have included tobacco-free workplace policies; evidenced-based wellness interventions; incentives and surcharges; client branded communications; and cultural enhancements. Emily facilitated collaboration among medical carriers, third-party administrators, screening and health coaching vendors, and clients’ stakeholders to maximize employee engagement and positive outcomes. Emily has written several articles on wellness topics, and currently serves as a Subject Matter Expert for the HR professional group, iWorkWell. She is also a member of the International Association for Worksite Health Promotion, and active in other professional networks.
Prior to joining CBIZ, Emily served as the Director of Wellness and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) with a health care system that delivered services, such as, employee counseling, screenings, weight management programs, flu shots, wellness portal and health challenges, to employers of all types. Emily spent nearly 10 years with her previous employer in various roles including account management, business development and operational leadership. She also held positions as a Research Associate/Website Content Writer and HR Compensation Analyst, overseeing development of the performance appraisal system, at a global nonprofit institute for six years. Emily completed a graduate internship at the Alliance for Workplace Excellence, as well as a community counseling center, where she later served on its Board of Directors, including in the role of President.
