Mr. Nussbaum was a charter member of the Andersen Compensation & Benefits specialty team and the founding partner for the Health Care & HR Consulting practice of Weiss, Yess & Co. Weiss, Yess was sold to CBIZ in 1998. Mr. Nussbaum doubled the local practice in five years and then led the CBIZ Human Capital practice for four years and tripled the revenue in that practice area.
Since 2009, Mr. Nussbaum has served in the role of Vice President of Client Development. In this role, he leads the large national account team, the national cross-serving initiative and certain industry initiatives. Additionally, he targets new products and services for broader distribution. Cross serving is a CBIZ strategy of client focus first; all new service lines have to bring value to the client. The strategy has enhanced client retention, led to increased revenue growth and created market differentiation for talent acquisition.
Prior to joining CBIZ, Mr. Nussbaum worked for Washington University where he helped create the first pay-for-performance model in academic medicine, posted dramatic savings in benefit cost and helped create a mental health carve out program delivered to the general market.
Mr. Nussbaum has worked with several of the Fortune 1000 companies while at Andersen and with CBIZ. He reports to the CEO of CBIZ.
