Gregg Landers leads the San Diego Growth Management Consulting Team for CBIZ MHM which is designed to help successful business leaders manage the challenges associated with growth. Gregg and his group specialize in the needs of fast growing, closely held companies. Gregg has more than 10 years of industry experience in manufacturing, costing, financial analysis and a variety of leading management roles. His experience includes helping CEO’s, business owners, and CFOs with planning (budgets, long term financial plans, business plans), improving processes (especially accounting and finance processes), facilitating alignment, and assessing troubled areas (departments, functions, business lines, etc.).
Gregg has performed numerous executive coaching and strategy facilitations as well as financial modeling and financial feasibility analysis to validate new growth strategies. Gregg is a frequent presenter on topics of budgeting, strategy, effective hiring, and various other accounting and key growth topics.
Gregg also leads the SOC / SSAE 16 and Internal Controls practice in Southern California and throughout the Southwest. Gregg sits on the firm’s national SOC / SSAE 16 Industry Focus Group which helps establish quality standards for performing these audits. He has done many speaking engagements on the topic of SOC audits and helped numerous companies understand these ever changing requirements as well as determine the proper SOC engagement, type and timing. His SOC clients range from companies with as few as seven employees, to multi-billion dollar companies located throughout the US.
Gregg also leads the related practice of Internal Controls and Risk Management – essential to every privately held and non-profit company. Effective Risk Management looks to ensure a company is effectively assessing risks and monitoring and communicating progress towards its overall long term and short term objectives. Internal Control Assessments are designed to ensure opportunities for error or wrong doing are minimized with no “windows” left open and are “right sized” for the culture and growth plans of the organization. Effective, sustainable companies of any size assess these issues at least annually.
