Overview

Mike is a Managing Director in the Accounting and Auditing* Group at CBIZ & MHM New England (formerly CBIZ Tofias). He is also the Leader of the Not-For-Profit & Education Practice. Prior to joining the company in 2004, Mike was a partner in the Boston office of Grant Thornton LLP where he acted as the Department Head and the Partner-In-Charge of not-for-profit client services.

Mike has more than 30 years of audit experience and exclusively serves not-for-profit organizations. He assists clients in the areas of financial statement audits, audits under Uniform Guidance (formerly OMB Circular A-133), UFR matters, financial aid audits, internal control reviews and debt offerings, accounting matters, and related business concerns. Mike has built a reputation for quality service in the not-for-profit community and has been the lead Director on more than 40 New England-based organizations including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, New England Aquarium, Archdiocese of Boston, and Tufts-New England Medical Center. He has also been the lead Director on over a dozen New England colleges, universities and secondary schools including Lesley University, Salve Regina University and Belmont Hill School.
