Dennis is responsible for the management of the Benefits and Insurance division for CBIZ in Florida. He brings extensive experience in the industry on the carrier side as well as a consultant and broker. He manages and services a broad portfolio of national and Florida clients in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
Dennis comes to CBIZ from Intracoastal Advisors, a privately held company that specializes in employee benefits.
Dennis began his career in the health care industry in Savannah, GA, working with the managed care organization, Healthsource. He then joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia as an account executive, where he was responsible for generating new business as well as maintaining existing client relationships.
In 1997, Dennis moved to West Palm Beach, FL and to the broker side of the insurance industry. He became an establishing member of Benefit Management Group (BMG), which specialized in employee benefits and executive compensation. As a principal of BMG, Dennis recommended, implemented and serviced all lines of coverage related to employee benefits. His experience with alternative funding options and claim management was pivotal in providing leadership and establishing the standards and service culture that helped the company grow from a small start up venture to a $6.5 million company. IN 2006, BMG was acquired by Arthur J. Gallagher. Dennis helped facilitate the transition before joining CIGNA Healthcare as Director of Sales.
