Karen Cassella has 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, and consulting services, including eleven years in public accounting with both local and international accounting firms. She serves the manufacturing, retail, and distribution industries, as well as government and nonprofit organizations. Her focus is providing risk and advisory services for various size companies, developing and/or auditing internal controls to ensure that her clients' risk are mitigated.
Karen has experience in internal audit, SOX-404, enterprise risk governance project management, payment card industry (PCI), & HIPAA security compliance, as well as fraud, risk, and quality control assessments.

Whether she is helping a company startup their internal audit or providing a best practices review of a client's current compliance program, Karen specializes in assisting clients at all stages of their risk and advisory compliance.
Karen is a Certified Internal Controls Auditor, a member of Financial Executives International, Association of Fraud Examiners, and board member of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association. She regularly speaks on topics related to risk and advisory services including PCI compliance, quality assurance reviews, measuring internal audit performance, and standards requirements.
