Gretchen Farrell joined CBIZ in 2021. Her career prior to CBIZ included leadership roles in industrial manufacturing, specialty retail and healthcare businesses, as well as client-serving experiences in human resources consulting and the law. Ms. Farrell’s expertise covers Human Resources, executive compensation, law, leadership development & succession planning, change management, engagement, process improvement, strategic planning, board governance, communications, systems implementation, as well as compliance & ethics.
Immediately before joining CBIZ, Ms. Farrell supported a dedicated team of front-line workers during the height of the pandemic as CHRO of Alternate Solutions Health Network (an equity-backed, home health business). She joined ASHN after four and a half years at the Orvis Company, a family-owned, multi-channel retail company that specializes in fly fishing, men’s & women’s clothing and dog products, and is dedicated to inspiring others to enjoy the adventure and wonder in nature. Prior to Orvis, Ms. Farrell spent much of her career (18 years) at Lincoln Electric (Nasdaq: LECO), the global leader in arc welding, robotic welding systems, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment, where she served as a member of the senior leadership team, the leader of Human Resources and co-leader of Ethics & Compliance. Ms. Farrell began her career as a Senior Manager in the Human Resources Consulting practice of Ernst & Young and, before that, as an Associate at the international law firm of Jones Day.
She holds a BA from The Ohio State University and a JD from Case Western Reserve.
