Douglas Coleman is an executive vice president with CBIZ Insurance Services and a graduate of Rutgers University School of Business – Camden, with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. CBIZ Insurance Services is a top 30 U.S.-based insurance broker and consulting firm.
Following a brief career as a tax consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Douglas has spent the past couple of decades leading some of the largest insurance agencies in the world and working on some of the most complex assignments. His specialties include alternative risk financing, captive insurance and data analytics for large, middle-market organizations.
Doug started in the insurance industry in his late 20s, then bootstrapped his way up the agency ladder from account manager to producer to senior executive.
However, Doug’s most valued work is his 20-year track record of identifying and mentoring the next generation of insurance leaders. Motivated by a profound sense of responsibility to “pay it forward,” he believes that one’s success as a leader is measured primarily by the accomplishments of those in their care. Above all else, Doug prides himself on being a tireless motivator, unapologetic risk taker and servant leader.
