Clearwater, FL (March 12, 2012) — CBIZ (NYSE: CBZ) is pleased to announce the selection of CBIZ Kirkland, Russ, Murphy & Tapp as a finalist for Tampa Bay Business Journal’s “2012 Best Places to Work.” This is the seventh consecutive year the company has been named as a finalist.
Employees of nominated companies were asked to complete a 37-question, online survey conducted by Quantum Workplace, a Nebraska company that uses science-based tools to measure and manage employee engagement, loyalty and retention. The employee survey measures 10 key engagement categories focusing on items including team effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, manager effectiveness, compensation and benefits.
Responses from each question of each completed survey are compiled and evaluated. Companies are ranked and finalists are chosen in each size category according to their overall composite score.
All finalists will be honored at an awards ceremony on April 19th, at Lowry Park Zoo.
“It is always an honor to be selected as a ‘Best Places to Work’ finalist,” stated Bill Tapp, Senior Managing Director of the Tampa Bay business unit. “The fact that this is the seventh consecutive year we have received this recognition…longer than any other accounting practice in the Tampa Bay area…is both rewarding and humbling.”
“We are very fortunate that our team members have chosen to be part of our practice,” Tapp continued. “In addition to the extraordinary technical expertise that our employees bring to the table every day, we constantly get feedback from our clients and others in the Tamp Bay business community about how much they enjoy working with our team members on an interpersonal level. We know that regardless of how quickly things change in the business world or how volatile economic times may be all around us, the one constant for our clients and our business unit is the well balanced strength of our team members. For that, we are profoundly grateful.”
